Lee feels that the weeds have really come back in the last two years as the crayfish have diminished and he is wondering if the DNR would be interested in doing a weed survey. A single Curly Leaf Pondweed plant was pulled from Upper Eau Claire last year; none has been detected this year. Purple Loosestrife has been identified on Cranberry Lake and Lake Ellison. Ingemar explained that a few years ago Purple Loosestrife was treated with beetles on Lower Eau Claire. Some discussion followed concerning the educating of people on effective ways to harvest Loosestrife before it seeds out. 7. Muskie tournament (October 2,3,4) Ingemar will be asking for volunteers to cover the boat landings. We will see if we can get enough volunteers we will cover the landings on Upper and Middle Eau Claire. 8.
