Barnes Area Historical Center and Museum
Barnes Area Historical Center and Museum

Through the work of many Volunteers and Contractors, and with the help from many contributors, the Museum was opened in 2016. The Museum opens to the public in May and closes for the season in September. Visits and tours can be arranged on off hours by contacting a board member listed on the BAHA website.

The Barnes Area Historical Association (BAHA) is affiliated with the Wisconsin Historical Society as a Chapter of the Bayfield County Historical Society. BAHA is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We will continue to be associated with both the Bayfield County Historical Society and the Wisconsin Historical Society.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join BAHA. You do not need to be a current or former resident of Barnes. Perhaps your ancestors lived in the Town, or perhaps you had friends who lived in the Town. Perhaps you vacationed in the area or just enjoy history and would like to be a part of our organization.

BAHA Board meetings are held at 9:00 AM on the third Thursday of every month except December. The museum is located in Barnes at the corner of County Road N and Lake Road. For more information visit the BAHA website.
