Minutes of the Town of Barnes Planning Commission

Of June 12, 2008

4:00PM

Planning Commission members present: Gene Ratzel, Dave Pease, Dick Webb, Diane Rupnow, Mitch McGee.

Alternate present: Duke Marten

Members Absent: None

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dave Pease. Agenda read.

Roll call to establish quorum.

Motion (Ratzel/ Webb) to approve agenda. Motion carried.

Motion ( Webb/ McGee) to dispense with the reading of and to approve the the minutes from the last meeting. Motion carried.

Public Comments: None

Zoning, Land Use Applications:  

Background information was given regarding the requests being presented today. The County has had complaints regarding short term rentals so they are addressing this. There is no intention of widespread inspections unless there are complaints. The applications are free.

The following 4 requests are all from North Country Vacation Rentals.

1- 5110 Lake Road; Continue to use property as a short term rental.

Motion (Webb/ Marten) to approve the request.  Discussion. Motion carried.

2- 52245 Hans Road; Continue to use property as a short term rental.

Motion (Webb/ Marten) to approve the request.  Discussion. Motion carried.

3- 5645 James Road;  Continue to use property as a short term rental.

Motion (Webb/ Ratzel) to approve the request.  Discussion. Motion carried

4- 50525 Peninsula Road; Continue to use property as a short term rental.

Motion (McGee/ Marten) to approve the request.  Discussion. Motion carried

Motion (McGee/ Webb) to adjourn. Motion carried.
