1.      Minutes from the February 19, 2007

Minutes from the last meeting were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes as submitted was made by John Kudlas, seconded by Mitch McGee, passed.

2.      Review of the Web Page

Ingemar had asked the group to review the Town Board WEB site for the EWM

information as it has been posted. Gerald Gustafson supplied a critique of the site to the group. He felt it was easy to navigate and made a few documented suggestions. Gene, who is the town’s WEB master, explained some of his content editing decisions. He has encouraged the committee to use the site as a venue for publishing information and he is interested in how members view the presentation of the material. Some of the PDF files in the EWM report are quite large and would take some time for a user to download. For that reason Gene has not posted all of the materials.  Some discussion followed concerning posting all of the material in indexed sections. John Kudlas indicated that everything for Sandbar and Tomahawk Lakes should be on the WEB site. Gene asked that someone on the committee work with him to determine what materials should be included on the site. John and Gus volunteered to do this, meeting next Wednesday, February 28th at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall.

3.      March Survival Month

There will be no meeting in March because there are 5 seasons in the Yukon.

Absent in March will be: Ingemar

4.      Implementation of 2007 CBCW grant

Ingemar indicated that Pam Toschner is 90% sure that the grant is going to be approved. With that in mind, some discussion followed concerning the time frame we will be working in to advertise and hire personnel to work at the boat landings in time for the fishing opener on May 5th. A special meeting including, Ingemar, Barb, Lee, Mitch and Dave will be held at Ingemar’s on March 5th at 10:00 am to discuss:

·        Job description

·        Advertising for the position

·        Interviewing and hiring process to include developing the criteria

Gerald distributed a tally of time already donated by volunteers. Stefania indicated that these hours of “work-in-kind” will apply to the grant under which she is working.
