Job Opening: Deputy Clerk-TreasurerWed, June 1, 2011 - Thu, June 30, 2011Deputy Clerk-Treasurer The Town of Barnes is seeking a part-time Deputy Clerk-Treasurer to start August 1st and leading to a full-time Clerk-Treasurer’s position at the end of this year. The candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, able to multi-task and possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must have good public relations skills, computer and accounting experience. Primary responsibilities include acting as key liaison between the town board, employees, and the town’s citizens, overseeing elections, budget preparation, tax collections, attending meetings, taking minutes, record keeping, and all accounting functions for the town.
