Special Town Board Meeting April 25, 2011
MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING OF APRIL 25, 2011 The board met at 7am. Members present were Jack Meinke, Chris Webb, Donna Porter, Mitch McGee and Lu Peet. A quorum was established. The notice of the meeting had been posted as prescribed by State Statute. 7:03am- Motion (Chris Webb/ Donna Porter) to go into closed session pursuant to state statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, compensation, promotion or performance of a public employee”. The board will return to open session to make the decisions. Call for discussion. Roll call vote: Jack, yes, Mitch, yes, Donna, Yes, Mitch, yes and Lu, Yes. Motion carried. The board went into closed session at 7:04am The board discussed only the personnel issues as stated. Motion (Mitch McGee/ Jack Meinke) to return to open session. Call for discussion. Motion carried. The board returned to open session at 7:10am. Motion (Chris Webb / Donna Porter) to approve a 3% wage increase for the garage and property foreman effective April 1, 2011. Call for discussion. Jack asked if the board would be doing a 6 month review. Yes, there will be a 6 month review at the end of June. There was discussion on if there was money in the budget for this increase. Chris said that we had $72,000.00 for wages and if that does not cover all of the wages, it will have to be taken from some other portion of the highway budget. Roll call vote was taken: Jack Meinke, Yes: Donna Porter, Yes; Mitch McGee, Yes; Chris Webb, Yes and Lu Peet, Yes. Motion carried. Motion (Chris Webb/ Donna Porter) to adjourn the meeting.
