MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING Of December 16, 2010 Chair Lu Peet called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 9:00AM. Roll call was taken and all were present. Clerk-Treasurer Brustad verified the meeting was posted as required. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: Agenda 1) Closed Session. The Town Board of the Town of Barnes will meet in regular session to go into a closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The board will reconvene to the regular session immediately after the closed session. Motion (Webb/Porter) to go into closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Roll call vote taken and all responded yes. Motion carried. The Board adjourned to closed session at 9:02AM. Motion (Webb/Porter) to return to open session. Motion carried. The board returned to open session at 9:55AM. There were no motions made in closed session and the board discussed only items pertaining to the statute listed. Motion(Porter/McGee) to approve Bob Lang as the new Town Roads and Property Foreman. His rate of pay will be $35,000.00 per year with benefits per the policy. There will be a review after 3 months and 6 months. Roll call vote taken and all responded yes. Motion carried. Motion (McGee/Meinke) to adjourn the meeting of December 16, 2010. Motion carried.
