Special Town Board Meeting October 21, 2010
MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING Of October 21, 2010 Chair Lu Peet called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 5:03PM. Roll call was taken and all were present. Clerk-Treasurer Brustad verified the meeting was posted as required. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: Agenda 1) Budget review for 2011 budget There was discussion on garbage bag fees, whether to try using a special assessment instead of bag fees. The board felt it would increase revenue to do this. Revenues have been down this year. It was decided to try not having any bag fees whatsoever, white goods would still be charged a disposal fee. An ID card will be given to each landowner with the taxes, and they would be required to show that when using the transfer site. Businesses still will not be able to use the transfer site. Lu will develop the card to be used. Motion (Porter/Meinke) to give Tom Pieters a raise of 50 cents per hour. The board will require more accountability with the cash register tapes and will need to make sure and charge appropriately for all white goods in order to bring the revenue up for the Transfer Site. Roll call vote taken and all responded yes. Motion carried. Motion (Porter/Meinke) to give Dave Schiess a raise to $16.00 per hour or 55 cents per hour increase. Roll call vote taken and all responded yes. Motion carried. Motion (McGee/Meinke) to adjourn the meeting of October 21, 2010. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 6:35PM.
