May 13, 2010 Meeting
Minutes of the Town of Barnes Planning Commission May 13, 2010 4:00PM Planning Commission members present: Dave Pease, Dick Webb, Diane Rupnow, Gene Ratzel Members Absent: Mitch McGee, Alternate Absent: Duke Marten. Public Present: Jeff Johnson, Nate Holden, Bob Holden The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dave Pease. Roll call to establish quorum. Motion (Webb/ Ratzel) to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the last meeting and to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Motion (Rupnow/ Webb) to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Public Comments: none Zoning, Land Use Applications: 1- Petition for Zoning District Map Amendment: Jeffrey and Mildred Johnson to rezone property located at 53060 State Highway 27 from Residential to Commercial. Motion (Rupnow/ Ratzel) to approve the request. Discussion. Dick Webb gave background information on the property. It is right across from Decoy. Most of the surrounding property is commercial. It does fit in with the Land Use Plan and there has been no opposition. Motion carried. Dick Webb recused himself from the vote. 2-. Petition for Zoning District Map Amendment; Richard Stack, Nathan Holden, agent to rezone property at 52260 Pease Road from Forestry 1 to Residential 1. Motion (Webb/ Rupnow) to approve the request. Discussion. It is indicated as residential in the Land Use Plan. Plan is to remove the existing structure in the future and build something smaller. If it is rezoned as residential, they can meet all the required setbacks. Motion carried. Dick Webb recused himself from the vote. Motion (Webb/Ratzel) to adjourn at 4:21pm. Motion carried.
