The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Committee for the Town of Barnes was successful in obtaining several DNR Water Surface Grants for lake projects in 2026. The Grants require a local match, which consists of volunteer hours spent on Citizen Lake Monitoring (CLM), Clean Boats, Clean Water (CBCW) monitoring at boat landings, and volunteers who assist on the BAISS-DASH boat.
