The process for applying for a short term rental begins here.
The Town Board of Barnes adopted the enclosed Short Term Rental Ordinance at the August monthly board meeting which took effect on January 1, 2023; The ordinance requires a short term rental license (to be renewed annually) be obtained from the Town at a cost of $300.00 (no proration of fees) and be posted on an exterior wall near the main entrance of the Accommodation during all times it is being rented. Please review the ordinance so you are familiar with its contents.
An application for a license is available on the right side of this page. Please complete it and return it the Town Office with the $300 fee; Failure to comply may result in a fine and/or penalty. If you are no longer operating a Short Term Rental, please advise so we can remove you from the list.
