Minutes of the Town of Barnes Planning Commission Organizational Meeting

April 17, 2006

Planning Commission members present: Donna Porter, Dick Webb, Diane Rupnow, Gene Ratzel, Duke Marten (alternate).

Planning Commission members absent: Dave Pease.

Also present: Richard Collyard, Barnes Town Chairman.

Election of officers:

Motion (Donna Porter/ Diane Rupnow) to appoint Gene Ratzel as Chairman. Motion carried.

Motion (Diane Rupnow/Gene Ratzel) to appoint Dick Webb as uice Chair. Motion carried.

Motion (Donna Porter/Duke Marten) to appoint Diane Rupnow as Secretary. Motion carried.

This was a general organizational meeting with Chairman Collyard to discuss the

directives of the Commission. Commission is to review the final Town Land Use Plan and make recommendations to the Town Board regarding the approval of the Plan. Members will obtain copies of the Plan as completed to date to begin reviewing the Plan. Members are encouraged to attend the Land Use Planning Committee meetings as able.

After the completion of the Land Use Plan, the Commission’s primary role will be receiving the current month’s zoning requests, meeting to review and discuss them, and making recommendations to the Town Board.

Next meeting date and time will be announced and will be determined by the progress of the Land Use Plan.
