Minutes of the Town of
Of
Planning Commission members present: Gene Ratzel, Donna Porter, Dick Webb, Dave Pease.
Alternate member present: Duke Martin
Planning Commission members absent: Diane Rupnow
Also present: Dick Collyard (Town Board Chairman), Earl Gregoire,
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gene Ratzel.
Motion (Pease/
Martin) to dispense with the reading and to approve the minutes of the last
meeting. Motion Carried.
Dick Collyard passed out Chapter 5 of the Land Use Plan. The Planning Commission is to look at the proposed Land Use Plan to see if a requested zoning change fits into the plan and make recommendations to the Town Board as an opinion. Our sole job is to recommend.
It was discussed that the Land Use Plan does not exist as of
yet, but we can make recommendations according to current land use. The Commission is to review the Plan and come
to a joint meeting with the Town Board and the Land Use Planning Committee to
go over changes on
Motion
(Porter/Webb) to open the floor. Motion
carried.
Earl Gregoire spoke regarding how
changes will be made and voted on. Then the Land Use Committee will be
dissolved after all changes and reviews are done.

No zoning or Land Use applications were submitted to the Town for our recommendations at this time.
Gene suggested we all look at Land Use section and at our next meeting we will discuss all our suggestions for changes. There was a lengthy discussion regarding storm water management plan. The DNR is involved in this when someone has more than an acre of property on the lake and is that enough? We will discuss this at the joint meeting in October and perhaps discuss this with Zoning. Gene will talk with Mike Furtak and we will ask Mike or Karl Kastrosky to attend the joint meeting on October 11.

Earl Gregoire discussed F1 zoning and whether or not it can be built on and if we are taking away landowner’s rights. We could eliminate F1 and make it R2. We should not make it more restrictive than the current land zoning that is present. If it is changed to R2, the list of criteria that is in the Land Use Plan would not be necessary.

Gene presented the calendar for the Commission meetings for the rest of this year based on when the Town Board meetings are held.
Town Board Meeting: Oct 24.
Planning Commission Meeting: Oct 19
Town Board Meeting: Nov 21.
Planning Commission Meeting: Nov 16.
Town Board Meeting: Dec 19.
Planning Commission Meeting: Dec 14.
The next Planning Commission meeting will be held on Oct 5
