TOWN OF
MINUTES OF THE
Of
Supervisor Chris Webb called
the Special Town Board Meeting to order at
Agenda
1)
Open bids for Concrete and Wood ramps at the town
hall
Webb said they should first
discuss the plans for the ramps.
Jeff Gajdos,
one of the bidders, wanted to mention if the Board considered how much work the
bidders did to bid on a project. If they
just needed an accurate amount their engineering firm should be able to give
them a cost. Webb called for the Clerk
to open the bids.
Dykstra Construction $16,000.00
Gajdos Concrete & Masonry $49,672.00
Marv Thompson and Sons $22,850.00
Webb said there wasn’t even that
much money in the maintenance fund to do even the lowest bid.
Motion (Porter/McGee) to reject all
bids until a later time, when the project is finalized. All were in
agreement. Motion carried.
Meinke thanked the
two who were present at the meeting for their bids. He said the Board will have to be more
involved with this committee to make sure they kow
what they need to do. They will need an
outline, what they can spend etc. Webb
said the Board will have to address that during their budget meetings. She suggested putting on the next agenda what
to do with the current contract the Town has with Gajdos
concrete. McGee said the contract is
there, we need to get it done before it gets too cold.
Motion (Meinke/McGee)
to go ahead and replace the sidewalk under the previous accepted bid by Jeff Gajdos. Jerry will work with Jeff to not be out any
additional monies for halting the project as Gajdos
had planned on doing the sidewalk this week.
Gajdos said he did lose some money for not
doing the project when he had planned.
McGee asked him what he thought would be fair for compensating him. Gajdos thought a
fair amount would be $300.00.
Motion (Porter/McGee) to pay an
additional $300.00 for a total of $1,750.00 for the concrete sidewalk work at
the Hall. Roll call
vote taken with all present answering yes. Motion carried.
Motion (McGee/Meinke)
to adjourn the
