Collyard called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at

Closed Session: The Town Board of the
Town of Barnes will meet in regular session to go into a closed session
pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, promotion,
compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which
the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The board will reconvene to the regular
session immediately after the closed session.
Collyard
said he had called the State regarding what other municipalities are
doing. He got a copy of an ordinance
which has already been approved by the State.
The board went over the ordinance and made a few minor changes before
approval.
Motion (Meinke/Porter)
to resolve to accept the ordinance Chapter # 23, Uniform Dwelling Code. A roll call vote was taken with all
responding yes. Motion carried. Mr. Kadlacek will need a copy of the approved
ordinance along with a signed copy of his contract.
Brustad
received a request from the
Motion (Porter/Meinke)
to amend the Town Hall Use Policy # 5 to state: There will be no dancing
allowed in the hall without prior Board approval. For the protection of the flooring no street
shoes are allowed.
Motion (Porter/McGee)
to approve the dance classes sponsored by
Collyard
asked for a motion to go into closed session as noticed. Motion (Porter/Meinke) to go into closed
session per Statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, promotion, compensation
or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Roll
call vote taken, all responded yes.
Motion carried.
The Board
adjourned to the closed session at
Motion (Meinke/Webb)
to adjourn the closed session and return to open session. Motion carried.
Discussion was limited to the above referenced statute with no action
taken.
There was no
other business to discuss, so Collyard asked for a motion to adjourn.

to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at
