Chairman Collyard called the
Special Town Board Meeting to order at
Agenda

Budgets – The Board will be reviewing budget items
for the 2009 budget
2)
Closed Session - Closed Session - The Town Board of the
Town of Barnes will meet in regular session to go into a closed session
pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c)
“considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance
evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has
jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.
The board will reconvene to the regular session immediately after the
closed session.
Revenues for 2009 were
reviewed. The Board then reviewed the
expenses that were already put in by the Clerk-Treasurer. Propane bids were reviewed and Polar Gas was
the lowest with 1.96 per gallon, which is an increase of 33%. This will be put on the Regular Town Board
meeting’s agenda for approval of their bid.
Revenues and expenses for the Cemetery will have to be reviewed at the
next meeting as nothing was submitted from the committee for expenses. Constable expenses were not received either. Webb suggested putting something in the
newsletter asking for donations for the fireworks this year. The cost has increased 25% for each of the
next three years.
Motion (Porter/Webb) to go into
closed session per Statute 19.85(c) to discuss wages for the upcoming year.
Roll call vote taken, all responded yes.
Motion carried.
The Board adjourned to the closed session at

the closed session and return to Open Session. Motion carried. Discussion was limited to the above referenced statute. There was discussion on the employee who is
currently on medical leave, discussion on the part-time employee and discussion
on the Clerk’s position.
There were no other matters
to discuss.
