TOWN OF
MINUTES OF THE
Of
Chairman
Collyard called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at
AGENDA
3. Closed Session -
The Town Board of the Town of
Collyard
spoke with Pat Pease who was there because Bud was not able to attend. Collyard explained
he wanted to speak to Bud sometime in closed session regarding their health
insurance reimbursement payment. He will
contact Bud when he’s back to set up a meeting.
Pat would be welcome to attend also.
Collyard
wanted to ask the board how they felt about the trapping fees. Dennis Vergin used
to charge $25.00 per beaver trapped, but with gas prices so high he felt that
wasn’t enough. He made 11 trips to
Mulligan creek road and got 3 beaver. He
and Jerry felt it should be around $50.00 per beaver. They had increased it last year to $35.00 or
$40.00 per beaver but none were trapped.
Motion(webb/Meinke) to increase the price to $50.00 per beaver trapped. Motion
carried.
Regarding
the health insurance Collyard said the first thing to
do would be to officially change agents to Steve Matushak
as the current agent we never could get ahold
of. The currnet
agent was scheduled to attend a meeting of the Board a few months ago but didn’t
make it, and was then supposed to send the information to Dick but didn’t even
do that. Motion (Collyard/Meinke)
to change insurance agents from Darrel Zaleski to
Steve Matushak of Holden Insurance. Clerk-Treasurer will send a letter to Anthem
Blue Cross Blue Shield notifying them of the change. Roll call vote taken: Collyard,
yes, Meinke-yes, Webb-yes. Motion carried.
Steve Matushak spoke on Health Reimbursement Accounts versus
Health savings accounts, which the employees currently have. The benefits can be customized for a
company. Health reimbursement funds come
back to the town if an employee leaves where the funds are the employees in a
Health Savings account. Mr. Zaleski will work on presenting a plan to the board at a
later date.
Motion(Webb/Meinke) to go into closed session
pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c)
“considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance
evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has
jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Roll call vote taken: Webb-yes, Meinke-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion
carried. The Board adjourned to closed
session at
Motion Webb/Meinke) to adjourn the closed session and return to open
