SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

Of February 7, 2008

Chairman Collyard called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 5:00PM. Roll call of attendees was taken, and all Board Members were present. The Chairman read the notice of meeting and verified posting. Darrel Zaleski was not able to make the meeting so item #1 was removed.

1. Health Insurance – Darrel Zaleski from Spectrum Insurance Group

Discussion on alternatives to rising health insurance costs

2. Closed Session - The Town Board of the Town of Barnes will meet in regular session to go into a closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The board will reconvene to the regular session immediately after the closed session.

Motion(Porter/Meinke) to go into closed session. Roll Call vote taken: McGee-yes, Porter-yes, Webb-yes, Collyard-yes, Meinke-yes. Motion carried,

Others present in the closed session were Jerry Witt and Mike Collins. Discussion was held with the employees. There was no action taken.

Motion(Porter/McGee)) to return to the regular open session. Motion carried.

Motion(Porter/Meinke) to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 6:30PM.
