Chairman Collyard
called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 5:35PM. All Board Members were present (Webb at 5:40).
The Agenda for the meeting was as follows:
1)
Discussion on participation in the LUCA (census)
program.
2)
The Board will go over budget figures for the 2008
budget.
3)
Closed Session. The Town Board will go into closed
session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) for considering employment,
promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.
The Board will then reconvene to the regular session following the closed
session.
Brustad had previously passed out a brochure explaining the
LUCA program. She polled the members of
the Clerklist also and the majority were not
participating. That very day a Census
worker came into the office and she asked her what her thoughts were on
participating or not. She felt
The Board then continued to
go over additional expenses for the 2008 budget.
Motion (Webb/Porter) to go into
closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) for considering employment,
promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises
responsibility. This is to discuss the
performance evaluation of a salaried employee. Roll call vote taken: Webb-yes, Collyard-yes, Meinke-yes,
McGee-yes, Porter-yes, Motion carried.
Collyard called the closed session to order at 6:45PM. There were no decisions made in closed
session. Only those issues pertaining to State Statute 19.85 (c) were discussed. Motion (Meinke/Porter)
to adjourn the closed session and return to the open session. Motion carried.
Collyard called the regular open session back to order at
7:40PM.
Motion(Porter/Meinke)
to give the part-time snow plow operators a 5% raise going from $12.00 per hour
to $12.60 per hour. Roll call vote taken: McGee-yes, Porter-yes, Meinke-yes, Webb-yes, Collyard-yes.
Motion carried.
Motion (McGee/Meinke)
that after consideration, effective January 1, 2008 an increase of $2.75 per hour
will be given to the Town Foreman. Roll call vote taken: Porter-yes, McGee-yes,
Meinke-yes, Webb-yes, Collyard-yes.
Motion carried.
Motion (Porter/Meinke)
to adjourn the meeting of October 11, 2007.
Motion carried.
