MINUTES OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

 OF SEPTEMBER 8, 2004

 

 

The meeting was called to order by chairman Dave Pease.

Present: Ron Pearson, Duke Marten, Dave Scharlau, Marcia Wellnitz, Dave Pease, Dixie Chermack, Patrick Beilfuss, Tim Kane and Russ Carter.

Absent: Marie Hughes, Lee Wiesner, Don Zigman and Leslie Hall.

 

Dave Scharlau made a motion to approve the August 11, 2004 minutes. There was a second by Russ Carter. Motion was passed by the committee.

 

Dixie Chermack addressed the issues of letters of endorsement / non-endorsement. This pertained to the letter on the “Subject of Town Involvement in Zoning Issues” written by Lee Wiesner. The letter was dated August 15, 2004. After discussion, the following motion was made by Ron Pearson and seconded by Duke Marten that the Comprehensive Land Use Planning Committee and all sub-committees will follow the Comprehensive Land Use Planning agenda and focus attention on the task at hand. Motion passed.

  3. Maps distributed-

    2. Generalized Soils- Town of Barnes

    2. Island Lake Classification and Shoreland Development Requirements, Article D. Zoning Districts Section 13.1-60; Section 13.1-61; Section 13.1-29

 

The October 13th meeting agenda is:

  1. Housing Element-Draft I and II (Combined) review
  2. Land Use Classification

 

Motion made by Ron Pearson and second by Duke Marten to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30PM.
