MINUTES OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLANNING COMMITTEE

OF OCTOBER 13, 2003

The meeting was called to order at 6:30PM.

Present: Lee Weisner, Leslie Hall, Duke Marten, Ron Pearson, Dave Pease, Dixie Chermack, Dave Scharlau and Don Zigman.

Absent: Marie Hughes and Marcia Wellnitz.

Also present: Patrick Beilfuss of Cedar Corporation and Tim Kane, UW Extension Agent.

Dixie gave a report on the Comprehensive Land Use Planning issues that were presented at the Wisconsin Towns Association’s Convention in Green Bay in October.

I. Workshops attended:

A. Comprehensive Planning and Zoning (Legal Concerns).

B. Zoning Laws and Policies.

C. Land Use Laws with focus on forests.

D. Growing Green-putting Conservation into Local Codes.

II. Resolutions by WTA and other towns concerning the Comprehensive Land Planning Law.

We reviewed the survey draft, line by line. The draft was written by Cedar Corporation from our input. Peter will rewrite another and bring it to our next regular meeting on Wednesday November 12, 2003 at 6:30PM> at the town hall. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come.

Motion from Dave Scharlau and a second by Duke Marten to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 9:05PM.
